The Cattleman’s

Where History Meets High Country Comfort

Experience the rich heritage and modern luxury of The Cattleman’s, the beautifully renovated original home nestled at the top of Mt Bellevue. This elevated retreat offers sweeping views of the 1,500-acre property’s rolling pastures, vineyards, and olive groves. Inside, you’ll find a blend of country warmth and comfort with a wood fireplace, modern kitchen, and comfortable lounge, while outside, a private BBQ area sits under a vine-draped verandah, just steps from the orchard and dam. Guests also enjoy complimentary use of the tennis court and walking track across the stunning Victoria’s High Country landscape.

Once the original home of the farm manager who oversaw the running of Elevation652 Farm, The Cattleman’s still holds the spirit of the land within its walls. From its elevated position, the home overlooks sweeping views of the 1,500-acre property, a landscape of rolling pastures, vineyards, olive groves, and the heart of life at the top of Mt Bellevue. Now beautifully renovated, The Cattleman’s offers a seamless blend of country heritage and tasteful modern comfort.

Inside, you’ll find a warm and inviting space designed for relaxation and togetherness. Sink into the electric leather recliner lounge beside the Kumar wood fireplace, where the glass door adds both style and safety for families with young children. The modern kitchen and two renovated bathrooms make everyday living easy, while reverse-cycle air conditioning and complimentary firewood keep you perfectly comfortable year-round.

Outside, the 40-year-old grapevines drape over the verandah, shading the outdoor dining area where your private BBQ awaits. From here, you’re only steps away from the orchard and dam, home to ducks and trout enjoying the gentle flow of the water feature. All guests at Elevation652 Farm are welcome to enjoy the picnic tables located in the orchard by the dam, beside the tennis court, and at the sunrise and sunset lookouts, each offering a unique way to take in the views of Victoria’s High Country. The tennis court and walking track are both complimentary for guest use, providing even more opportunities to relax, explore, and connect with the beauty of the land.

An additional bed is available. Please inquire before booking to ensure availability.

A Living Legacy

At Elevation652 Farm, we see ourselves not just owners, but as caretakers of this remarkable land atop of Mt Bellevue. Every vine planted, every fence built, and every animal is nurtured is part of a living legacy, one shaped by generations of local farmers and the enduring spirit of Victoria’s High Country. Our connection to this place is built on respect: for the soil, the history beneath it, and for the future we’re growing together. At 652 metres above sea level, our story is still being written, one sunrise, one harvest, and one guest at a time.
